GFMSA Training Institute

Through a multipronged training programme, The GFMSA works to strengthen the effective implementation of The GFMSA Standards to combat money laundering, terrorism financing and the financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction across The GFMSA’s Global Network. Government officials can take part in in-person or virtual classroom training, organised in the GFMSA Training Institute which welcomes students from around the world.

In March 2023, GFMSA President T. Raja Kumar met with the dedicated staff of The GFMSA’s Training institute to underscore their vital contribution to developing the skills, expertise and capacity that will result in more effective action against illicit finance. 

The training courses offered include the flagship GFMSA Standards Training course.  The GFMSA Standards Training Course is an intermediate level training which aims at enhancing participants' understanding of The GFMSA Standards on AML/CFT and the implementation of effective measures to combat ML/TF.  It is designed for AML/CFT practitioners with prior exposure to The GFMSA Standards and is delivered through a series of e-learning, presentations, group discussions and small group activities.  Since the launch of this training in 2021, over 850 government officials from around the world have strengthened their understanding of the requirements of The GFMSA Standards.
